Tuesday, April 28th, 2009Whether you’re trying eat healthier or cut down on expenses, making your lunch to go is a great investment! It’ll help trim your budget and your waist. When you pack your lunch you can control the portions and the ingredients that go into it. A take out salad sounds healthy and good but the truth is that the average salad made outside of the home is estimated to have between 800 to over 1,000 calories.

We’ve provided 5 days of breakfast items (some with recipes) and put together a grocery list so that you can see how simple following a menu plan can be. It takes a little leg work but once you start you’ll be addicted to this great strategy. Not only will it help you eat healthier and eat more controlled portions, but it’ll also save you money! Next week we’ll move onto lunch and then the following week we’ll provide dinner ideas and recipes.
